Help the Children on Lifetime Tomorrow - A letter from Roger Presgrove

Greetings,

I just wanted to share with you that Help the Children will be on Lifetime this Tuesday night, June 19th at 9:00 PM on the Bristol Palin Reality Show. Nobody knew because we had to keep it confidential, but Bristol volunteered at our Help the Children facility for 4 weeks during the filming of her reality show. Please watch this show and pass this along to your family and friends. You will get to see our operations and how we help the needy.  This could be a very big thing for us and we would like to ask you to help us get the word out about this show.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to watch this show.  I'm not big on reality shows but I hope you will watch this one on June 19th.    Remember to record it if you cannot see it on the 19th!  Thanks so much and may God bless you!

Roger Presgrove

Dental volunteers are making a difference.

For those who have been part of our dental outreaches, you know how much of a blessing it is to provide such aid to the impoverished. We have witnessed first, second, and third year medical students serve with gratitude and fulfillment. Dr. Mike Roberts orchestrates these extraordinary events and is planning for several more dental outreaches in the coming months.

If you have dental skills we ask that you share your gifts and volunteer your dental services. Remember to keep our dental outreaches in your prayers. We can only make a difference with the support of friends like you and the medical and dental teams who want to share their skills and their love for God. We truly want to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you for your service, your dedication and your love.

Dental Outreach Update - June 2012
by Mario Rivera

One of the many blessings we have at Help The Children is to help those in need around the world. Over 12 years ago we created our medical and dental program where we provide free medical and dental care in third world countries where medical attention is not readily available. We recently had a dental outreach April 2012 in the city of Amatitlán, Guatemala, where in 4 days we treated over 380 people with different dental needs, such as extractions, general cleaning, fillings, and even light cosmetic corrections. We noticed that many children are growing up without teeth due to poor care. Many are so poor that they cannot even afford a toothbrush.

It's so exciting to see so many children and their families benefit from these dental outreaches, and we are really excited to see the new smiles on their faces once they leave our free clinic. One little girl named Maria came in for a check up and she told us that she has never been to a dentist. She was 16 years old! Many of her teeth needed to be pulled because of the bad decay that left her teeth in really bad shape. We were able to save many of her teeth but wish we could do more for Maria.

Our hope is to provide education in the importance of cleaning teeth on a daily basis. Our goal is to come back again next year and see how the children and their families are doing. We can only do this with the support of wonderful friends like you. Please make a donation when you can and tell others about Help the Children. Thanks for helping us help others.
