Hope and help come through Guatemala Hospital!

RECENT UPDATE - THE GRAND OPENING & PLAYGROUND:

Click here to see pictures from our latest trip to Guatemala. Thanks to so many people the hospital is now up and running. The playground is built. But the need is growing. We need monthly support to keep the hospital up and running. The more you give, the more patients we will be able to treat. Any amount will help. We are asking for MONTHLY support so we can manage our finances and keep from overextending ourselves. A special thanks to the students and staff at Oaks Christian in Thousand Oaks California. What a special group of young people. Thank you for doing your part and helping us help more children.

THE BEGINING:

Help The Children was given eight acres of land in Malacatancito, Huehuetenango, Guatemala to build a hospital in the community. The hospital is currently in development and near completion, and will provide healthcare for over 300,000 people who currently do not have a medical facility at all. Help The Children already has commitments from the Medical University, as well as retired medical professionals, to provide staffing on a volunteer basis.

The hospital has an estimated completion date of November 2011. Upon completion of the hospital project, Help The Children will begin construction on a church and an orphanage to be added to the complex.
