Bell Gardens Winter Wonderland

The City of Bell Gardens Recreation & Community Services Department invited the entire community to its annual “WINTER WONDERLAND” event this past Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 5:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. at the Los Jardines Shopping Center on the corner of Eastern Ave. and Lubec St. in the City of Bell Gardens.

Families were seen gliding across the synthetic ice skating rink, sliding down one of the six snow sled runs, enjoying the kid’s crafts area, playing in the video game area, treating the kids to a ride on the ponies, tasting fantastic foods from the many vendors, and participating in the cookie decorating area. Children who brought a canned food item to donate to “Help the Children” received a $2.00 discount off the all-day wristband!

Performances included the Bell Gardens High School Marching band and drill team, the Bell Gardens Pepster’s cheerleaders, the Dance Mania club, and the Bell Gardens Foklorico group. Fantastic live entertainment, included 'Trytone' and a variety of festive family music.

Help the Children is proud to be a part of this annual Winter Wonderland time.

Schools Feeding Children

It is just awesome to see schools uniting to help children and their families. Everytime I come on this site I notice something that touches my heart. Thank you to the Bell Gardens students who are stepping up and making a difference.
