May 1998 Newsletter

The month of April was a tremendous first month for Children's Network International. We are blessed to recieve 8,000 lbs of pinto beans that we sent to orphanages in Mexico, 12 pallets (12,000 lbs) of cookie dough that was distributed throughout Southern California, 1,250 apple pies and 400 lbs of butter, 100 lbs of Honey Baked Ham, as well as 3 pallets of fresh produce that was given to a mission in Los Angeles for their Easter meal program. Through the support of Fountain of Hope and Operation Blessing, we provided enough food to feed more than 15,000 meals our first month of operations. we also received 1,000 new T-shirts that were shipped to Africa and 3 pallets of misc. medical equipment to St. Petersburg Russia. None of this would have been possible without the support of friends like you.

We have been praying about a facility and we have the opportunity to secure a warehouse in Inglewood. However, along with securing this warehouse brings added expense. We need to raise funds for accommodating this facility. The monthly rent is $1,100 for 5,500 square feet. We will also need a forklift to unload trucks, pallet racks, pallet jacks as well as office furniture and supplies. This tremendous challenge and we truly need your financial support.

Would you consider partnering with Children's Network International by helping us to provide food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and medical supplies and services to those less fortunate? This can e accomplished for only $10-20 a month.

We are praying for more Doctors, Dentists, and nurses to help our "Medical/Dental Outreaches" to low-income families throughout Southern California and Mexico. We need more medical professionals who would be willing to donate their time (1day/8 hours) on a Saturday to staff these Clinic's along with some Doctors that are currently working with CNI. If you know of anyone who might e interested, please have them call me at the number below.

Sincerely,

Roger L. Presgrove
