March 1999 Newsletter

This year, CNI has commited to assemble 30,000 FOOD BOXES. These boxes will contain: 5 pounds of rice, 5 pounds of beans, chips, canned goods, pasta noodles, pasta sauce, nutritional bars, candy, hand soap, deodorant, and other Christian literature. The FOOD BOXES will be shipped to countries that are truly destitute as well as the needy in our country. It is our goal to reach out to needy children and their families with their physical and spiritual needs.

Here is a letter from a family who wrote to us and said "the boxes received from Children's Network International was such a blessing. It is very difficult to feed six children, so when we opened the box of food and candy it brought tears to our eyes. Thank you so much for caring about us. God bless CNI."

This is just one of many families that receive our FOOD BOXES. It is because of friends like you that we are able to reach out literally to thousands of families here in the United States and around the world.

Locally: Our food distribution outreach is going very well. We currantly distribute to more than 60 churches and food agencies throughout Southern California. Each agency services between 50-2,000 families a day. Most of the food they provide comes from Children's Network International.

It is our goal for 1999 to increase our food agencies to seventy five.
This will enable us to more adequately utilize our food resources and help meet the needs of the impoverished. However, this increase will bring an added expense to our budget. We are stepping out by faith and asking the Lord to meet our needs as we provide food and personal hygiene items to those in need. But more important than food, we are sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to all who receive our FOOD BOXES. We believe that God is doing and will continue to do great things at CNI.

Internationally: We sent 2 containers to Central America with cleaning supplies, building material, FOOD BOXES, candy, and toys. We have commited to help the victims of Hurricane Mitch and will continue to send supplies on a "as needed basis". We have also sent FOOD BOXES to orphanages in Romania and Moldova. We have designated to send 500 badminton sets to orphanages in Russia, Haiti, Romania, Moldolva, Bosnia, Rwanda and the Philippines.

Sincerely,
