M.U.S.D. Agree to do More After Round 1

Montebello School District

MUSD students, faculty, and parents joined together during the Help the Children Volunteer Days to build over 600 Love Carton Food Boxes using the food they collected during the 1st Annual War on Hunger Food Drive held September and October 2009.

Over 60 MUSD volunteers representing the Montebello Council PTA, Montebello Unified School District, Leo’s Club of Bell Gardens High School, Rio Hondo College, Shurr High School, and Potrero Heights Elementary, built Love Carton Food Boxes on Saturday, November 7, and Saturday, November 21, in preparation for the upcoming Holiday Season.

The Montebello Unified School District’s 1st Annual War on Hunger Food Drive a Success! Lead by the Honorable Gerri Guzman, School Board President of the Montebello Unified Scholl District, the War on Hunger committee coordinated a food drive to include 29 schools in the district to collect non-perishable food items to be distributed the MUSD community.
