June 1998 Newsletter
These first two months of operations for Children's Network International (CNI) has truly been a wonderful blessing. We have distributed more than 1 million dollars of food, personal hygiene items, clothing, literature, vitamins, seeds, over the counter medicines and medical equipment to more than 60 churches and food pantries as well as supporting 5 humanitarian relief organizations throughout Southern California. Internationally, this month we distributed 12 pallets of vitamins and over the counter medicines to Kenya, Africa as well 1 truckload of corn seed to North Korea. This is only possible through financial support and prayers from friends like you.
Last month, I reported to you about the possibility of acquiring a warehouse in the Los Angeles/Inglewood area, well by God's grace we move in on June 16th. It's exciting to see how the Lord works. Our plan is to continue providing to the churches and food pantries that we are currently working with and develop an outreach to the low-income families in this area by providing them with food and medical/dental clinics and share with them about Jesus Christ.
With the this expansion there has become a tremendous need to acquire a Bobtail truck. Thia truck would be used to pick up fresh produce for our food program and Non-food items like personal hygiene items, literature, clothing, medical supplies and equipment. Currently, we have been relying on other organizations to pick up for us, but due to the amount of supplies being offered, it is no longer possible. A 24-foot Bobtail truck with refrigeration and lift gate is desperately needed and will cost approximately $12,000 (used).
Would you please consider donating to help cover the cost of this truck? It is important to note that 100% of your donation goes to the programs of CNI. Everyone that works at CNI are volunteers.
Thank you for your continued support and may God richly bless you as we serve together to make a difference to the less fortunate.
Sincerely,

Roger Presgrove
President
