Financial Details
disaster-spacer 2007 has been a wonderful year for Children's Network International. We changed our operating name to Help the Children in an effort to define our ministry more effectively to the general public. In addition, we celebrated our tenth year of ministering to and sharing with some of the world's poorest and most neglected people.

You have been with us during this decade of discipleship, and we are grateful for your support. We could not accomplish what we do without your prayers, your participation and your tangible gifts.

As we enter this holiday season, when most of us will share times of joy and intimacy with those we love the most, many people will have no food to eat or clothing to wear. Some of them no longer even have a home of warmth and safety within which to sleep at night. The end of any year always presents our ministry with increased demands for food and warm clothing, as well as gifts for underprivileged children during Christmas. But this year the need is even more staggering, which is why I am sending this letter to you.

The recent fires in Southern California destroyed over 2,000 homes and dislocated hundreds of thousands of human beings. Torrential rains and flooding in the Tabasco region of Mexico have killed many and swept away the belongings of thousands of others. Hurricane Felix wreaked the same kind of havoc in Nicaragua. People of all cultures are suffering so much at this precise moment.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy listed our ministry as number 260 in the Top 400 Charities of America. In doing so it was noted that Children's Network International's growth increased 27.7%from $54 million to $69 million of food, clothing, medical equipment and supplies given away. from 2005 to 2006 -

However, our income has not kept pace with the growth of our ministry. Now, as winter gets nearer and disaster victims in this nation and others face problems like never before, we need to be ready to act. Children's Network International has always been prepared to respond to natural and human disasters like these, and Help the Children is committed to continue in that compassionate ministry.

As a result, we need your extra special help between now and December 31, 2007. We ask you prayerfully to consider making a year-end, 2nd Mile contribution this year. This over-and-above gift will enable Help the Children to go over-and-above in reaching out to those who need us desperately.

For ten years our donors have always responded positively when the needs in the world pushed in upon us. I am confident the same thing will happen in 2007 as well.

Please help us by mailing your check today orif you prefer, you can use your credit card to donate on our website, or call our office and give the information over the phone. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me directly so we can visit and pray together about how God is leading us in these months. My number is 323.980.9870, extension 103.

God bless you for all you have done, and continue to do, through Help the Children.
